Look at the Good You’ve Created: Issue No. 5

Thank you for checking out our monthly donor newsletter to get the chance to look at all the good that’s been created this month through the investment of our donors and business partnerships!

At Loveworks we believe you are NEVER too young to be a dreamer and NEVER too old to do your dream.  We are committed to helping students discover their potential and pursue their BIG dreams with programs that focus on building character, leadership development, and entrepreneurialism. Through mentorship and experiential learning, students are equipped to make positive life choices, empowered to solve problems, and explore career paths.

Since the start of the year, our youth entrepreneurship programs have been raised to a new level with Business Boot Up. We have worked with more than 30 kid businesses and desire to help even more kids learn fundamental skills and professional development.

The Dreamers & Doers Dinner Celebration will be held on Thursday, September 23rd in efforts to grow our youth entrepreneurship programs which we believe will be a powerful catalyst for change in our Norman community and the state of Oklahoma.  At this event, you will get to see the results of the last 10 years of impact and what to look forward to in the future.

Please consider attending this event and inviting others who could join in on our shared mission. If you’re not able to attend, a donation of any amount is greatly appreciated and goes directly towards the expansion of student programs. We know this: when students are exposed to opportunities that lead to real-life change, we can restore hope and see our communities thriving.

Please check out the invitation below, we would love to see you at this incredible event featuring great food, kid businesses, and special entertainment!

With nearly 100 students and over 30 volunteers, Afterschool Leadership is back! Between 3:00pm to 6:00pm, students are most likely to be influenced in either a positive or negative way. It is the choices they make during these afternoon hours and the people they spend time with that make a difference that can last a lifetime. Afterschool Leadership is designed to help students make positive life choices, discover career paths, and set them on a trajectory for personal success. Students will improve their social, emotional, intellectual, physical, career, financial, and community well-being by pursuing a life where they can apply their unique leadership qualities and discover their dreams.

Volunteers and mentors facilitate groups, games, conversations, and meal times. Each student receives personalized attention, a snack, and a nutritious dinner meal, while participating in specialized projects involving local artists and community professionals. Experiential learning projects are geared towards developing skill sets within the students and broadening their awareness to cultural diversity.

I am hopeful that you see how your support directly impacts the heart of our students and parents! Thank you for being part of our story and for your investment into the lives of our students at Loveworks!
