Personal Growth with Michael and Carolyn
At Loveworks, we believe that one of the ways that you can become one of the best versions of yourself is to focus on personal growth. We love curating things like books, music, organizations, blogs, or resources that have encouraged your personal growth.
Today we are going to tell you how to not have a summer vacation (or have a purposeful summer plan):
1. Assess yourself, consider exploring the things you couldn’t because of all the excuses during the school year.
2. Create a goal
3. Form a plan
4. Have fun!

Rana’s ADVICE –
Happiness leads to success and not the other way around. There’s a commonly held belief that if I am successful, then I will be happy. But that’s not what the science says. Focus on what it is that makes you happy and success will follow. Look for the helpers. If you have a dream, you need help to achieve that dream. So look for those who can help you. We’ve been blessed with two ears and one mouth and we should use those gifts in that proportion. So listen, listen attentively, you know and while you’re listening, get shorter, listen to your inner voice. Trust your instincts. Adopt a growth mindset. Have a flexible brain, not a rock brain. Understand that mistakes are an essential part of learning. We learn more from our mistakes than we do from getting it right. Accept that’s part of the process.
Key Takeaways:
- Perfectionism holds you back – throw it out the window!
