Look at the Good You’ve Created: Issue No. 7

Thank you for checking out our monthly donor newsletter to get the chance to look at all the good that’s been created this month through the investment of our donors and business partnerships!

At Loveworks we believe you are NEVER too young to be a dreamer and NEVER too old to do your dream.  We are committed to helping students discover their potential and pursue their BIG dreams with programs that focus on building character, leadership development, and entrepreneurialism. Through mentorship and experiential learning, students are equipped to make positive life choices, empowered to solve problems, and explore career paths.

Baylor joined Loveworks at the beginning of the 6th grade.  Recommended by his teacher and encouraged by his parents, Baylor reluctantly stepped out of his comfort zone.  By the spring semester he discovered a passion for journalism, especially photography, and looked forward to seeing his friends after school every week.  By the end of 7th grade he’d made headway in one of his biggest challenges, stage fright.  As an inspiring musician, he knew it was something he needed to overcome.  Over the summer he jumped at the opportunity to be a part of the production team for the Biz Boot Up Edition of the Dreamers and Doers Podcast.  With the knowledge and experienced he gained, he stepped up this fall to lead a podcasting passion project and is volunteering before After School Leadership every day to ensure other students have every opportunity to discover and live out their dreams, just like him.

Raising Little Leaders Storytime was dreamt up by a Loveworks student and brought to life in 2018.  A free storytime open to every family with little leaders ages 0-9; each experience includes an unforgettable story, interactive activities, and opportunities to develop leadership skills through meaningful lessons. Last month Raising Little Leaders held their first ever makers day, an event providing little leaders an opportunity to explore their passions through hands-on projects and learning workshops led by local makers, including several who started their own businesses while they were in middle school!  With over 50 little leaders participating, Loveworks had the opportunity to introduce over 25 new families to our programs, events, and ways to get involved. Stay up to date on upcoming storytime events on facebook @raisinglittleleaders.

We are hopeful that you see how the support of our donors and business partners directly impacts the heart of our students and their families. Thank you to our donors and volunteers for being part of our story and investing in the lives of our students at Loveworks!
