Look at the Good You’ve Created: Volume 2 Issue No. 4

Thank you for checking out our monthly donor newsletter to get the chance to look at all the good that’s been created this month through the investment of our donors and business partners!

At Loveworks we believe you are NEVER too young to be a dreamer and NEVER too old to do your dream.  We are committed to helping students discover their potential and pursue their BIG dreams with programs that focus on building character, leadership development, and entrepreneurialism. Through mentorship and experiential learning, students are equipped to make positive life choices, empowered to solve problems, and explore career paths.

At the end of the semester, we put on an event and dedicated a night to celebrate and appreciate our volunteers. Loveworks would not be possible without the dedication and investment of our volunteers. One of our own marketing interns, Brooke, shares her experience at the appreciation event:

“Loveworks put on a volunteer appreciation night for all of the volunteers to give back to us and celebrate what we’ve done! I am currently interning with Loveworks, working as a marketing intern and mainly focusing on social media efforts, so having a night dedicated to us was so special, and really made me feel even more a part of the Loveworks family. I went to this event with another intern, Morgan, who I have been working with over the past few months, and it is amazing to see the relationship we have already developed through this and how well we work together. There was a whole buffet of hot and ready food prepared for us, as well as awesome hosts that led the event with fun and engaging games. They even had a masseuse there to reward us with the gift of relaxation. The whole event was spectacular and reminded me of how lucky I am to be surrounded by such an uplifting and supportive community!”

Amazing dreamer and doer, Chef Gabriel Lewis, returned with another fantastic cooking class with our students! This time Chef Gabe taught the group how to make soft tacos including how to prepare the chicken with tips on what spices pair well with tacos, how to make their own tortillas from scratch, fresh guacamole, and finished up the evening with homemade churros. The students had a blast learning new skills and then getting to enjoy the fruit of their labor by sitting down and tasting their tacos while discussing their experience with Chef Gabe.

If you’ve ever driven behind Loveworks, you know we have a thriving garden, but did you know that the nutritious produce goes right back into our programming for snacks and meals? Cooked by our wonderful volunteer chef teams and sponsored by Eco Wood Solutions. Our REAL Garden program and culinary program wouldn’t exist without their support to promote happy healthy eating!

We are hopeful that you see how the support of our donors and business partners directly impacts the heart of our students and their families. Thank you to our donors and volunteers for being part of our story and investing in the lives of our students at Loveworks!
