Thank you for checking out our monthly donor newsletter to get the chance to look at all the good that’s been created this month through the investment of our donors and business partners!
At Loveworks we believe you are NEVER too young to be a dreamer and NEVER too old to do your dream. We are committed to helping students discover their potential and pursue their BIG dreams with programs that focus on building character, leadership development, and entrepreneurialism. Through mentorship and experiential learning, students are equipped to make positive life choices, empowered to solve problems, and explore career paths.

This past month our REAL Kitchen Salsa team had the opportunity to pitch their fresh and shelf-stable salsa to Whole Foods! Our salsa is made right here at Loveworks and is marketed and sold in Oklahoma by middle school and high school students. You could say our salsa is a jar full of dreams! Stay tuned for further updates as the students work together with Whole Foods this coming year.

On July 24th, Loveworks Leadership held the biggest event in our history. Kids from across Oklahoma converged on the Criterion Theater in downtown Oklahoma City for the first ever state-wide youth entrepreneurship event. It’s part of Loveworks’ newest program, Early. Early is designed to teach kids the principles of entrepreneurship, and them help them put it into action by starting their own companies.
We were blown away by the incredible business ideas, polished pitches, engaging booths and overall high level of participation at our first annual event. With nearly 40 student teams represented on the trade floor, it was a hopping place!
Six teams made it to the final pitch competition on the main stage. They pitched their product ideas before a panel of “Sharks,” including Oklahoma educators, business leaders and innovators.
This year’s Early Event was big, but next year will be even bigger. Get ready to pitch at Dodgers Stadium…but not baseballs. Imagine kids pitching their business ideas from Oklahoma City’s AAA baseball stadium!

Since 2011, Loveworks has been committed to helping middle school students discover their leadership potential, develop great character, and form an entrepreneurial mindset.
While we have had a history of offering our programs without cost or greatly below the market value, we introduced a relatively low-cost semester fee to our afterschool program from 2020-2022 with scholarship opportunities. Our staff and board have been aware of the potential barrier that this fee and scholarship process poses for some families.
Starting again this Fall 2022, Loveworks will again be offering afterschool programming FREE of charge for all students.
Every student, regardless of their financial background, will get the opportunity to receive the high-quality programming and support that we’ve been offering for the last 11 years!
We are hopeful that you see how the support of our donors and business partners directly impacts the heart of our students and their families. Thank you to our donors and volunteers for being part of our story and investing in the lives of our students at Loveworks!
