Armand McCoy: President of Trifecta Communications
Let’s meet our Dreamer and Doer! Armand currently serves as President of Trifecta Communications, an award-winning imagination company with offices in Oklahoma City. He joined the team in 2011 as an Account Executive and has worked his way up to his current position where his many responsibilities include leading management of day-to-day operations of the organization. Passionate about travel off the beaten path and the person-to-person cultural exchange of ideas, Armand has served on previous U.S. Department of State delegations to the countries of Bangladesh, Turkey, India and Nepal in recent years. An avid cyclist, Armand has spent a week riding his bike along the famous Route 66 traveling from Texola, Texas to Joplin, Missouri. Armand’s next endurance challenge is to run an ultra marathon in 2021.
Armand says he is more of a doer; however, after spending a lot of time around other dreamers, such as Brent Wheelbarger, he’s picked up some “dreamer tendencies”.
Lessons from People Watching
When Armand was younger, his grandfather would take him to the park in Chicago and they would sit on the bench and watch people pass by. They would often speculate where people were going, but it was always in a positive light. Armand’s grandfather taught him during these moments to see the beauty in life and reminded Armand that life is a masterpiece. These moments also grew Armands love for people.
Helping People Through Business
Armand went to college for psychology and to learn more about people because of his love for them. Slowly, he began to move to a larger scale of helping others through business. Not only is he able to help businesses tell their story, but he can also reach people through those businesses.
Social business is how Armand first fell in love with the idea of business. He says that he is able to interact and help people everyday while still having a successful business career. Not only can Armand impact others, but others also have an impact on him. He is inspired by people, such as our Wristworld students, who bring him hope and a desire to do more.
Armand loves to say yes. So many opportunities such as traveling the world and his current career have been a product of a “yes”. Armand chooses to say yes when he evaluates a situation and knows he may say no because it will push him out of his comfort zone. Many of these opportunities have led to personal growth opportunities and made him a better person in the long run.
